The City of Bonham is a city in North Texas that is comprised of multiple municipal departments, such as City Hall, Fire/EMS, Police, Streets, Water and more. The city was faced with a number of technology issues, preventing them from scaling and supporting residents as the city grows. They contacted Falkon to assess their environments, which led to an overarching engagement with Falkon.
Faced with aging hardware and outdated systems, the City of Bonham engaged Falkon to conduct a comprehensive audit and analysis of all technology systems. The analysis identified several areas in need of improvement that spanned multiple segments of technology, security, communications and more.
Following this assessment, we presented a comprehensive set of projects and plans to the city officials, where they worked together to stack-rank projects and tasks, addressing the most urgent and important challenges first. In no particular order, the projects and tasks included:
Within a period of ~90 days, Falkon was able to accomplish all urgent and important projects, thereby protecting valuable assets and data, while also upgrading multiple systems.
With the City of Bonham’s core IT infrastructure in a protected, scalable state, Falkon is now focusing on further enhancements which included voice over IP telephony, enhanced and high-speed internet services, emergency services communication systems, new building infrastructure, and other projects that are currently supporting the growth of Bonham, TX.
